Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Loom (United States)

    Interview

First interview was with a recruiter, second was with the hiring manager. They then asked me to do a take home assessment. I was rejected as a candidate almost two weeks after submitting the take home assessment with absolutely no context or feedback on the assessment.
    Interview

Asked general questions about experience and what I was looking for. Assessment was difficult because they wanted you also to make a lot of assumptions about the company's risk tolerance.
