Mission: Building a world where LGBT people thrive as healthy, equal, and complete members of society.
I worked at Los Angeles LGBT Center full-time (More than 3 years)
The work itself is incredibly rewarding, and I really loved working in the same building where the community and clients were, and seeing them benefiting directly from having the Center. The best part of working here was my team members. They were like a family! People really care about one another and celebrating mutual successes and pushing towards the greater good. Even the monthly all-staff meetings would get you pumped to go back to work!
None! Maybe a clearer path for advancement in some departments?
Advice to Management
Keep advancing, striving, and fighting for the community!
I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Los Angeles LGBT Center.
Received an email from the Accounting Manager to schedule an in-person interview. I interviewed with the Accounting Manager and Assistant Controller. Very nice young ladies made the process comfortable and conversational (kinda made me feel like I was going to get an offer) since I knew I was qualified.
A couple days later I received an email from the Accounting Manager letting me know they decided to go with another candidate (bummer!).
