Mission: The Los Angeles LGBT Center is building a world where LGBT people thrive as healthy, equal and complete members of society.
Excluding special events - such as AIDS/LifeCycle - work/life balance is reasonable. Long hours occur only sporadically. Otherwise, work shifts are reasonable.
Managers don't get very much support on how to plan, or manage staff. As such, much of the management treats those they supervise poorly - not giving them the support they need. 403(b) offering is terrible for employees. That benefit package should come with a warning for all these high fees.
Advice to Management
Train management better on how to support their team. Work with employees to help them plan for success. Hire additional staff were appropriate to prevent burnout.
I applied online. I interviewed at Los Angeles LGBT Center.
There was only one interview for the initial position. Therefore, it was a relatively, simple process. There also was not a long time between being interviewed and receiving the offer. It was definitely one of the more straight forward interviews I've been through.
