    Application

I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Los Rios Community College District (Sacramento, CA) in June 2016.

    Interview

The interview started with a ten minute writing assignment. The assignment was to describe the research process for a given situation. After that I received the interview questions. I was given ten minutes to review them and make notes for myself. The interview was a structured interview, four people of LRCCD participated, from different backgrounds. Each asked two questions from the list of questions. They read the question out loud, I was able to read along on my paper with the questions. The list contained 8 or 9 questions. All questions were asked, even when an answer was already given in a previous question. No follow-up questions were asked. The overall feeling was quite formal. I was not invited for a second round of interviews. I was notified through a standard email about 1.5 weeks after the interview, no details on why I was not invited for a second interview. The people I met were very welcoming and friendly, the location seemed like a very nice place to work.

    Interview Questions

    • Questions were about situations in which I conducted research, how I gathered, analyzed and presented data, what I thought was challenging about the job of research analyst. All questions were related to the position, no personal questions.   1 Answer
