I have been working at Louis Vuitton part-time (Less than a year)
Its actually very easy to move around in the company and get into contact with corporate. They pay for your travel! the pay is fair on-top of commission. Don't get me wrong you need a strong team leader to help you excel in the company but, your own hard work wont go unrecognized.
you'll get great clients, but often you'll meet crazy people! this job has actually caused me to become much less empathetic, lucky part of the job is politely telling people to get off their high horse, or at-least lowering expectation. also the discount really isn't that great, if you do the calculations your actually paying full price in France, were the bags are the lowest value. with that being said there are tons of other perks that make up for that.
Advice to Management
take what your CA's are saying personally because keep in mind at the end of the day ,irate clients just want to talk to a manger, they don't want anything to do with someone who can't, or won't bend the rules for them. Being ignored is not an issue I personally have, but thru grape vine I've heard it's been an issue.
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Louis Vuitton (New York, NY) in September 2018.
Very long process, lots of questions, many different people meet with but they were very welcoming and professional. Some questions were open ended and you must bring your resume to every sessions to review it very carefully. Must have background luxury experience
