Neither diverse in demographic composition of employees or ideas. There is tension between middle management and senior leadership; old guard has not relinquished power.
Advice to Management
Update systems for communication, make significant changes at the middle management level of the operations. Embrace diversity within the ranks of the organization.
I applied online. I interviewed at Louisiana Department of Education (Baton Rouge, LA) in May 2014.
Applied on their webpage, got phone call about one week later, scheduled on site interview directly. The questions were quite easy, just some normal behavior questions. Did a small data analysis project after the interview. Got offer letter about two weeks after the interview, no negotiation.
