    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Lyra Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - The clients! There is a high demand for therapy and the clients are motivated and engaged in treatment. I also have a mix of different clients, the variety is nice.
    - Being a part of a company that is trying to innovate in mental health using tech, the research base, and the experience and wisdom of clinicians
    - The company values both video therapy and in-person care. Video therapy is very convenient for both client and clinician. I was initially a skeptic about video therapy but have come to really enjoy it's utility and effectiveness.

    Cons

    - This is more of a con working in the American healthcare system which all providers and companies, especially start-ups have to grapple with... balancing the books with exceptional client care, high provider satisfaction, and a talented, humble, and respectful workforce. Quite the challenge!

    Advice to Management

    - Continue to value the work providers are doing. If the providers are respected, valued, and taken care of then they provide higher quality care which leads to healthier, more satisfied clients and happier customers!

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Lyra Health (Agoura Hills, CA) in December 2017.

    Interview

The interview was not set up - it was on the spot - I did not learn much about the company I was interviewing with other than a family I had been working with had changed their insurance to Lyra

    Interview Questions

    • What types of evidence based psychotherapy I used in my practice and how did I measure the outcome. They asked what my fee was and said they could not match it. It was a cold and scripted interview that did not seem concerned with what I think are the basic tenets of good psychotherapy. I came away with the understanding that they probably want their employees to fix the patient with the least amount sessions possible. Did not feel good about this company after the interview   1 Answer
