    School Health RN Interview

    Difficult Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at MAHEC (Asheville, NC) in December 2015.

    Interview

Submitted a resume and cover letter via email to HR Dept.; received a call from HR and was asked for a brief, preliminary telephone interview; subsequently, set up a personal interview during which I met w/ the HR Recruiter, the Director of School Health RN and an additional current staff member. We met for an hour and a half during which the interview was conducted and included the panel comprehensively informing me of the position followed by an impressive, relevant and informative, to me about them, inquiry about my experience, skills and goals as an RN.

    Interview Questions

    • What do I expect of my preceptor and supervisor; how I would handle specific and varied sets of circumstances; what are my near and far future goals; how I had handled difficult sets of challenging circumstances in the past; when I'd made a decision based on a choice of how I'd handled situations, what were they and what would I have done differently, in retrospect?   1 Answer
