Since 1969, MBI Inc. has been bringing consumers around the world collectible books, jewelry, coins, and Danbury Mint products through tried-and-true direct response marketing techniques. The company specializes in keeping up with—and setting—industry trends and demands by offering an ever-changing line of merchandise through print, digital, and social media.
Norwalk offers every amenity an employee could wish for. In and around town can be found great restaurants, exciting night life, fitness centers, theaters, tons of shopping, and access to beaches, boating, and fun on the Long Island Sound. Additionally, MBI’s office is only a one hour train ride from New York City.
In addition to having tons of fun at work each day, employees also enjoy each other’s company outside the office on a regular basis. Together, members of different departments formed the MBI Inc. beer league softball and volleyball teams—they also attend group painting activities and gather for frequent happy hours.
MBI Inc.’s office boasts an open-door policy between employees. It’s never necessary to set up meetings to speak with managers or executives, nor is it required to go through elaborate processes to implement new ideas and procedures. Everyone in the office is open and receptive to discussing problems, solutions, and changes.

I worked at MBI full-time (More than a year)
You can tell MBI really cares about their employees. They are always working towards making the culture and environment better. Happy hours, 5ks, bake-offs, and bbq's - they frequently have events to increase employee engagement and interaction. They are very open to suggestions and make an effort to ensure all employees voices are heard. The HR Director/department are understanding and easy to work with.
They hire talented people and help to develop them into great employees. The flat structure really is one of the best parts about MBI. PBM (CEO) is such a great guy. He knows everyone's name and is very pleasant to interact with. Directors of DM and PCS are very approachable and always have their doors open to any level employee (not to mention are super fun to hang out with at happy hours!)
Overall great place! You will certainly learn a lot and develop many skills that will help you in your future, whether it is with MBI or elsewhere. You may also gain some lifelong friends/mentors along the way.
Legacy systems will definitely need to be updated soon.
I applied through college or university. The process took a week. I interviewed at MBI (Norwalk, CT) in November 2017.
Seamless. On-campus interview then interview at HQ. The superday began with a talk with HR and then a math and reading assessment. Afterwards you had four interviews with a break in between.
