I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at MD Helicopters (Mesa, AZ)
InterviewA recruiter reached out to me after finding my profile on a job search site. My interactions and interviews with the recruiter and director were pleasant. I did an initial phone screening with the recruiter and later a phone interview with the director. I was invited for an onsite interview to meet in person with the director and an executive. The onsite interview also included an Excel based test. The experience was as expected until I met with the executive who told me most of my experience was useless and that I needed to have more experience in a particular area. It was very blunt and unexpected. More importantly, my experience was very apparent in my resume and from my prior interviews with the director and recruiter. I incurred personal expense and took a day off of work to travel (due to location) for the onsite interview. I was disappointed in the tone and lack of tact of the executive which is the lasting impression I came away with.
The most unexpected question wasn't so much the inquiry about an employment gap on my resume but more so being pressed for personal information regarding the gap.Answer Question
