    Software Engineer Interview

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at MEI Technologies.

I had a referral from a friend who currently worked there, and I was still in college, so my expectations were that they would've been lenient about areas that my experience/knowledge was lacking. I went through two pre-interview phone calls to make sure I knew somewhat about what the job entailed; they were very broad and not difficult. At the real interview, I sat across the table from 4 people (was actually supposed to be 5, someone didn't show up) who basically took turns asking me questions one-by-one, all the while jotting down scribbled notes right from the time I opened my mouth until I finished responding. In the end, I was not offered the position, and never heard back from them officially. It was my friend who informed me that they didn't consider me "polished" enough.
