Good company culture, plenty of ways to get involved, comfortable work environment, room to grow if you choose, decent pay and benefits. I think the firm is in a good position to grow and thrive. I think there's a good deal of integrity in the people.
MG2 has some soul-searching to do, and is frankly not as 'progressive' as it wants to be. If you want a non-challenging, comfortable life, this is a good place to work. If you want more, well...
Advice to Management
Management has been more on its game as of late. There are a lot of genuinely likeable people. There is a desire to engage with people, and that is half the battle.
I applied through college or university. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at MG2 (Eugene, OR) in April 2015.
Interview was done via skype. 2 principals interviewed me. The process felt very casual. It was an hour long interview. The first half we went through my resume, focusing on the work experience. And then they asked about some pages/images on my online portfolio. The next half they talked about the company itself, such as their goals, design process, etc. After that, they left about 10 minutes for me to ask questions.
