Mission: Our mission is to entertain children around the world and become a memorable part of their childhood.
I worked at MGA Entertainment full-time
Bagels and co-workers (some of them)
1. Absolutely no life/work balance - if you didn't work longer hours than you were getting paid for, even if your projects were completed, you were a slacker.
2. Middle-Management is so frazzled because of the tremendous pressure placed on them that they are unable to effectively manage teams.
3. Nepotism - it's so difficult to get ahead there is you aren't someone's kid, sister, whatever.
4. Lack of Direction - talk about a moving target! It was like chasing after a greased pig.
Advice to Management
Make a plan and stick with it!
I applied online. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at MGA Entertainment (Van Nuys, CA).
Chaotic to say the least, after the phone interview there were 6 onsite interviews - all on different days and some they tried to set up with less than 2 hours notice. Often you would show up and the people slated to interview were not available so you interviewed with people who didn't know anything about the position.
After 7 weeks of impromptu interviews I accepted a position somewhere else, this didn't stop their recruiter from trying to set up further interviews.
