I worked at MIDCOM (More than 3 years)
Great company. Great account managers. Good benefits. Great company culture. Good training. Great resources. IT guys are amazing. Experienced women owned company. The owners take care of their employees (lunches, BBQs, etc.)
Promotions could be better tied to long term performance, but they do offer many incentives for making monthly quotas. Sometime favoritism is shown to the established employees- has a negative effect on morale.
Advice to Management
Need to tell employees when and if there will be performance reviews.
Please don't talk about your personal political affiliations in the office place.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at MIDCOM (Tempe, AZ) in June 2010.
It was a standard telephone interview for a contractor. There's no advice needed for anyone who has been through one of these.
Reasons for Declining
Unfortunately, they wanted a senior person for a junior price, and even that was below market. From what I can tell, the job is still open (It's been 2 1/2 months as of this posting, and Midcom has apparently dropped it unfilled). This tells me it's not much of a system if they can afford to leave it without care for this long, and that the only thing that matters is cost. Forget about it, it's not for me.
