I worked at MORPACE full-time (More than 3 years)
Great work-life balance, very flexible.
Great compensation, benefits are good.
Family owned business and it shows. Left several years ago and still keep in touch with people - it's a family, not just a job.
Lots of room to grow and big on promoting from within.
Could use more training - I taught myself 90% of what I learned there.
Still business casual - a little old fashioned.
Review process is painful. Self reviews, peer reviews - it lasts for months and wastes time that could be spent on something productive. Like working.
Advice to Management
Talk to employees on what training would be useful.
Rethink review process
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at MORPACE (Irvine, CA) in March 2013.
I had a phone interview with human resources. Then had a face to face interview with 8 people. I believe it was 3 or 4 interviews back to back same day. Important that entire team likes you because you support them all with projects. Also took an excel, PowerPoint and proofing test. Important that you can create charts in excel and place in PowerPoint. Very important you can proof document and spot errors.
Then started training in Michigan for a week and did drug test there.
