I have been working at MOSAIC (Canada) full-time

    Pros

MOSAIC is filled with passionate front-line folks that work so hard because they believe in making the world a better place.

    Cons

Wouldn't be surprised if Managers of all levels declared that they would rather use a telegraph than any tool of modern technology, this includes outdated and naive business practices. Folks work on their vacation days and management still has the audacity to ask more of them.

    Advice to Management

Please consider higher standards when hiring managers OR provide them with enough support and training that they don't ruin the lives and the morale of their employees.

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at MOSAIC (Canada) (Toronto, ON (Canada)) in November 2012.

    Interview

Great interview, first a short quiz and some questions from the team you were joining. This portion was about an hour.

Second portion was a pairing session, where you were asked to code some small amount (not related to their products -- a made up example for the interview). This portion was about an hour as well. You were asked to code in ruby using TDD.

All in all everyone was friendly and it was a good experience.

    Interview Questions

    • What are some of the first things that come to mind when tackling the poor performance of a specific page in ruby on rails?   Answer Question

    Reasons for Declining

Seemed like a great place, but the commute was very long and I ended up taking the offer to my then current employer.
