I have been working at MTM Technologies full-time (More than 5 years)
The individuals that you will work with are the reason why I stayed as long as I did. Good pay.
The company just laid off EVERY service director across the country (5). And have demoted 2 VP to have engineers report to them and remaining directors to project managers. They have even began laying off engineers across the board as well as architects. The Managed Services managers are threating the Sr. Engineers on a daily basis of termination. And in an effort to cut costs and bring uncertified people in to support customers both on the helpdesk and managed clients. This only will drive clients away as they have been doing for the past two years. Beware they say they support area like the west cost and texas but have been cutting resources for years and closing them.
Advice to Management
Review Management Style ASAP. Threating engineers and co-manager went out in the 70’s. This once great place to work has become a battle ground. Engineers across the board are now floating resumes like they are business cards. While lay offs are happening still CEO tells everyone we are doing great. There is NO communication between management and staff. Even Sales directors are threating the sales team and calling them names.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at MTM Technologies.
Initial communications were from an external recruiter who runs his own company but is "an mtm employee".... the interview was rushed and rammed through out of desperation it seemed. it took 3 interviews before an offer letter was extended. Was not able to gauge corporate culture as system engineers were not welcomed into the office except during required annual meetings.
cost of benefits are staggeringly high. negotiate at least 20-30% higher to cover those costs. you will not receive a raise once accepting the employment offer. this is a quiet secret in this company.
