Very custom and highly technical engineering business requiring strong team work from various departments to be successful. Engineering intensive with great career growth opportunities by working alongside talented people to deliver highly complex solutions. Broad customer base with strong global presence. Large scale custom work makes for an exciting place to work. Days go by fast.
Lack of work/life balance not equal across departments. Frequent leadership turnover and the time for new leadership to understand the business due to its complex nature. New leadership taking similar paths that old leadership had once traveled - this can be good or bad. You may acquire a person's job when an individual departs the company and be expected to absorb the work.
Advice to Management
Embrace the special talents required to make the business successful. Invest in training and operating systems to shorten learning curve for new employees. Recruit & retain highly talented individuals in key positions.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at MTS Systems (Eden Prairie, MN) in March 2017.
I applied for the Executive Administrative Assistant position on February 5 and received a response from the recruiter on February 8 to schedule a date for a phone interview. On February 13 I had my phone interview and then received an invitation for an on-site interview on March 7. Waiting to hear back from the company whether a decision has been for this position.
