I have been working at Macquarie Telecom Group full-time (Less than a year)
There are some awesome people to work with. The customer focus is good, if not universal. Has huge opportunities for success.
The leadership is not in tune with the market and without any idea how to move forward (unless one of their Pet Vendors tells them). None of the Executives are smart enough to work out how to actually help their customers, they are too busy being played/upwardly managed by their direct reports.
Advice to Management
Stop listening to each other and self-congratulation is not a recipe for success - just because you've been lucky enough to have been successful so far.... Get the right advice instead of just listening to the clueless politically driven cronies and Vendors who spend money on flying the cronies around the world to keep them on the Vendors cool-aid.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Macquarie Telecom Group (Sydney (Australia)).
Very Poor...... and leaves a bad impression on the company, as a Senior IT Sales Professional I can safely say I would not ever look twice at this company.
I was asked x2 high level questions then was asked if I had any further questions to wrap up the interview, all in the first 15 minutes.
Then had to wait for over 2.5 weeks before any feedback.
The internal recruiter seemed nervous and she didn't know how to structure the interview, and never asked any questions relative to the job on offer. This combined with the lack of feedback leaves a bad impression of this company that seems to be echoed in other reviews.
