    Application

    I applied in-person. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Madison Precision Products (Madison, IN) in April 2010.

    Interview

    Single interview with co-ordination with salaried exempt member. Conversation light and airy; easy to get along with most co-workers in beginning. Trial period given to determine if driving a multi ton forklift is a skill that is achievable by the interviewee.

    Interview Questions

    • Does driving a fork-lift around walking employees make you nervous?

      The most difficult facet of this job is knowing there is a 50% chance that the shift before you will not have done their job and that most days will be spent chasing your tail to get caught up.  
      Answer Question

    Negotiation

    No negotiation possible. An interested employee is either picked or not. There is no chance to negotiate salary or adjust workload. If you show them you can do anything, you will be expected to perform in this matter until the end of time.
