I have been working at Magellan Health full-time (More than a year)
The pay is great and the work done being supportive to members and connecting them with resources is rewarding. Not to mention there is a cafeteria and gym onsite. A great perk of working at Magellan.
Unrealistic expectations to manage work load; constantly working additional hours to keep up with the workload (unpaid); frequent changes of work expectations; high turnover of frustrated staff; lack of adequate support to staff; permanent weekend/evening schedule and shamefully the health insurance is horrible (HSA only option).
Advice to Management
Listen to your clinical staff when genuine concerns are voiced about what's not working; listen to suggestions; and make an effort to find a solution to fix the problem. As a result, staff will be loyal to Magellan; you'll be able to keep great clinical staff; staff will feel valued; the morale will be up; and instead of wasting money on constantly training new staff (to replace staff who constantly leave), you'll save money and be able to get better health insurance suitable for your staff who work for a healthcare company.
The process took 6+ weeks. I interviewed at Magellan Health.
Easy casual interview, first recruiter over the phone, then boss over phone then boss in person. All casual and friendly. Overall easy interview. Process moved fast once it got started.
