Great culture, strong brand recognition, work life balance, long and proud heritage, Southern California based US Headquaters is not common for a power tool company which is major plus.
Antiquated expense reimbursement( must use personal funds to expense common expenses). Company card should be issued to more field and marketing people who commonly must put $1000's of dollars on their own dime and wait a few weeks for reimbursement.
Too many levels of red tape to wade through for simple decisions to be approved.

I applied in-person. I interviewed at Makita (Nagoya, Aichi (Japan)) in July 2011.
I had three interviews, the first one was with an independent recruiting agent - the next two were at the headquarters of the company. After the third interview I was given 3 tests - English, Math and IQ.
