KPMG

I had been reached out to by a mandiant recruiter since September of this year and just had my second round interview over 2 weeks ago without any responses back. Are recruiters always this bad? Never thought I would get ghosted this far into the process. I had a similar issue with another org a few months ago as well, and finally got a 2 liner response a month later. Wondering if this is a trend in hiring now, even when you are fairly far in the process.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Mandiant (Alexandria, VA) in May 2018

    Interview

Two phone screens, one w/ recruiter asking about my background and telling me about the company/position, one w/ hiring manager which was more of the same. Then an on-site, with more of the same "what value do you bring", "why consulting", etc... then had me do a white-board exercise to diagram a network and discuss vulnerabilities of the diagram I created. Very easy straight-forward interview, not much technical discussion at all (compared to the interviews I conducted when hiring employees at Google for instance). Feedback from recruiter was I lacked technical expertise. Interviewers were professional, and clearly well-educated, but lacked technical interviewing experience. Or they had a bad day, I couldn't tell.
