I have been working at Mark III Construction full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Energetic, innovative, and ambitious work environment. Company pushes their core values and shows appreciation of hard working employees unlike anywhere Ive ever worked in the past. Offers competitive wages for talented people. Owner is extremely ambitious and constantly pushes employees to be better. Company does not get complacent or stagnant. Owner not afraid to make decisions (whether right or wrong) to keep moving company toward the future. Continuous ongoing Foreman training and incentive programs. Transaparency- Company is open to employees about everything, from financials to company direction.

    Cons

High employee turnover rate (Pro & Con- Company only keeps hard working people who fit the Mark III culture). Unqualified people in key positions in the company. Mark III heavily promotes from within which is good for the most part, but sometimes leads to premature promotions for people who are not qualified for the role. Lack of experienced Mechanical PM's has led to the loss of some pretty talented employees. Lack of company wide standards- Mark III is a multi-trade contractor which makes it challenging to standardize company wide practices. Excessive (non PW) out of town work causing the loss of valuable employees. Quit bidding the out of town work!!!!!

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing. No company is perfect, it's the small things that matter. Employee appreciation goes a long way. Everyone wants to know that the sacrifices they make for an employer are appreciated. Keep taking care of those who take care of you!!!!!
