In 1911, Frank C. Mars made the first Mars candies in his Tacoma, Washington kitchen and established Mars’ roots as a confectionery company. In the 1920s, Forrest E. Mars, Sr. joined his father in business and together they launched the MILKY WAY® bar. In 1932, Forrest, Sr. moved to the United Kingdom with dreams of building a business based on the objective of a “mutuality of benefits” for all stakeholders – this vision serves as the foundation of the Mars, Incorporated we are today.
That foundation has since proven its strength, as we’ve built one of the world’s leading FMCG companies, bringing quality brands and their products to consumers around the world. We now have over 100,000 Associates operating across more than 80 countries, but no matter how much we grow, we remain a family-owned organization that values the input of every single Associate that walks through its doors.

Even though you are exposed to vast amounts of training, they seem reluctant to offer promotions to demonstrated leaders.
I applied online. I interviewed at Mars in October 2017.
I applied online and within a week I got a phone call setting up an interview. The recruiter then sent me a Skype link. There were two behavioral interviews back to back
