I worked at Massachusetts Medical Society full-time (More than 10 years)
Excellent benefits, flexible schedule, really nice people, a mission to improve healthcare, lots of interesting projects, investment in staff education (training, conferences, etc).
Technology leadership is absent and development resources are scarce. Business and IT are not integrated, which makes it hard to do innovative product development work at speed or using current practices. Red tape and politics can be exhausting. A great place to work in many ways, but people stay 10+ years on average, so it can be tough to find opportunities to advance.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Massachusetts Medical Society.
An initial phone interview with HR. A few days later had an in person interview with 3 managers. Before meeting the managers I talked with HR for 20 minutes or so about the company.
