We use a variety of technical tools to turn business vision into physical reality including C#/.NET, ASP.NET, Web API, React.js, Node.js, SQL Server, TFS, Selenium, and Canopy.
Mobile & Applications
The mobile team works on anything and everything. ipads, tablets, iphones, android and more. If it’s a new device, we know about it. In fact, we’re always on the market, testing out the newest and greatest mobile devices that haven’t even hit the market yet! And if that isn’t enough, if there isn’t an app, we are the ones creating the stuff that runs on mobile web! We are all about mobile, all the time.

Quality Assurance teams are the innovative and agile within Match. We prevent mistakes. We avoid problems. In essence, we’re the ones who are making sure that before our customers see it, we’ve tried it, used it, monitored it and done it! We’re all about high quality…all the time! Every day our QA Engineers are talking to the development teams, product teams, management and everyone else involved in the products that our customers use on a regular basis to find love!
Business Support Team
“Variety is the spice of life” – on the Business Support Team (or BeST) this is more than a trite catch phrase – it is reality. Some jobs have you performing the same task but in slightly different ways every day. On the BeST team you will never be bored (see Bret if you are, please) because we write Windows services, web applications (with MVC and webforms), console applications, API integrations with third parties, and even some Windows desktop apps.
Our team develops, manages and supports the tools that other teams in the company use to do their job. The Call centers and customer care agents can’t function without the Customer Service Application. The Events team could not coordinate their activities without the Event Management Tool. Need a new promo? We have an application for that. Need a tool to peruse creative files for your clients? We have a tool for that. Need a daily report downloaded and consumed from a third party system? We’re the team that can make that happen.
We also troubleshoot situations for the teams we support, providing assistance beyond the simple release. When issues arise, we’re first in line to assist with investigation and coordinating a solution. We’re the problem solvers. We’re the ones you want on your side: we respond.
It takes special people to join our team. We are looking for people who are interested in constantly expanding their knowledge base, learning every day, and helping others. If that sounds like the kind of work you want to do, then we’re your team.

We have no formal dress code policy here at Match. Take your cues from your fellow co-workers and manager, but if you’re more comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt, go for it.

I have been working at Match full-time (Less than a year)
- Relaxed, fun workplace. The flexibility here is incredible. Everyone gets along and most of us have the same interests outside of work. Very modern culture -- even though being a relatively early company in the digital world.
- Worklife balance. I was told before accepting the position that they are very serious on work life balance -- and I am happy to confirm that everything I've seen so far confirms that statement.
- The managers I've personally spoken to are down to earth, friendly, and well equipped to gauge what you are capable of. They are also very understanding to any issues that come up in personal life.
- Community outreach and volunteering is not only allowed but actively encouraged by management.
- Incredible benefits, even at entry level.

Advice to Management
Keep it up! Since I've started working there I've seen the stock price of the group jump almost 25% -- a solid indication that the upper levels of management are doing something right.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Match (New York, NY) in May 2016.
Quite possibly one of the best interview experiences I've had. I met with the right people; those who I'd interact with mostly-- a variety of mid-to-senior level management individuals (including VP-level). Each and every person was transparent, relaxed/kind/welcoming, engaged in the subject matter and asked questions in a way that, ultimately, turned the interview into more of a conversation, which was brilliant.
When it came time to discuss an offer, I looked back at the people who I believe represented the personal work environment I'd ultimately be in and, having met with those specific individuals, made the decision that much easier (to accept, of course). And this was not an easy decision by any means, given that I wasn't leaving my previous company because of any extreme/particularly 'negative' experiences; Match provided me with the right opportunity, the right offer, the right people and seemed to give me the right long-term potential (relative to my professional development).
