Mission: Love what you do and make it matter.
- Culture: a lot of companies speak highly about their culture during the recruitment process, but all too often, things quickly change when the honeymoon phase is over. Mavens goes out of their way to make the work culture fun and enjoyable. - Challenge yourself: there is a lot to learn and expectations are high. If you are looking to be told what to do everyday, this is not the company for you. If you can self manage and be proactive, you can succeed at Mavens. - People: Every single person is willing to help you throughout onboarding and on projects. You will rarely (if ever) feel as if you are bothering someone when asking for help. - Management: They love constructive feedback. They are willing to receive it and are willing to give it.
- Vigorous hiring process, but this is important to ensure skilled employees are brought on. - 401k plan could be better, but this may be something the company is working towards enhancing.
Advice to Management
- Keep up the great work. - Perhaps encourage remote employees to make more trips to the Headquarters in Chicago.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Mavens Consulting (Chicago, IL) in March 2015.
Phone interview and presentation. For anyone who is interviewing for a consultant position, you will be required to develop a custom solution built in Salesforce for a fictitious company. Even though Mavens said you can build it to the best of your ability, they want completely custom built functionality that will take at least 40 hours. I've never done consulting before and maybe that's there way of weeding out people without consulting experience, but they should give potential candidates more information on what they want built and also take into account a persons Salesforce experience.
