The teams have good people who are very capable. Company allows schedule flexibility if you have an appointment or need to attend to a family issue. Some travel opportunities.
Management. The current IT management does not seem capable of leading effectively. They do have a solid strategy and communicate little to the staff on the goal and how we are to get there. Feedback and performance reviews dont happen so there is no indication of how well they think you are doing. The trend is to hire from outside and mostly bringing in people from companies where the new leaders worked before. Upper management likes to micromanage lower level details.
Advice to Management
Train staff and promote from within. Get a strategy and let the teams execute it. Stop micromanaging.
