I have been working at McKinstry full-time (More than a year)
This company truly values its People first. A lot of companies claim to do this, but my experience has been that McKinstry truly does that. Good range of benefits and mid range salaries. Great people working here and the companies leaders have a great vision for the future.
Bonuses are not great, though the past year had seen a realignment in bonus structure. Collaboration can be hard but this does vary between departments and teams.
Advice to Management
Ensure that trickle down communications actually reach all staff. Seems to work for the regions but corporate doesn't always get the info or is the last to know!
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at McKinstry (Olathe, KS).
Standard 2 interviews with recruiter, then in person with 3 old guys that looked like they came from a golf course, and 2 muscle bound gym bros. Left coast, superior attitude. When they realized I had bargaining power, I felt dismissed. Glad they declined to offer me a job.

September 28 marked the debut of Urbanova, a groundbreaking smart city living lab in Spokane. McKinstry—along with our partners City of Spokane, WSU Spokane, Itron, Avista, and Spokane's University District—are proud to play a part!
