I worked at McMaster University (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - For my position I had a standard, predictable schedule
    - Unionized salaries meant you knew you were being paid like everyone else across the board
    - Great vacation & benefits package
    - Room to advance

    Cons

I honestly don't have any cons for working at Mac. I always enjoyed my time there, and I would recommend them as a place to work to anyone.

    Advice to Management

My advice to any management would be to check in with staff regularly about how they're doing personally and professionally. An annual review can be very helpful for both management and staff to ensure you're still on the same wavelength.

I was contacted via email to come in for an interview. The interview was about one hour, and consisted of straight forward questions that were situational-based and experience-based. Afterwards, they informed me of next steps. They did contact my references. Was offered the position after about a two week process.
