Mission: At McNeilus, our commitment is to help communities live safely and sustainably by providing the vehicles necessary to build strong foundations and maintain healthy neighborhoods.
McNeilus is proud to have been selected 2 years in a row for the MN Dual Training Pipeline Grant. This Grant has allowed us to train approximately 65 Weld Trainees to become Welders. We will continue to run Weld Trainee classes in 2020! If you are interested in learning how to weld and working at McNeilus, please text MTMHiring to 507.316.5228
McNeilus celebrated Manufacturing Day in a very special way! We opened our doors to several young women from local high schools. On the program were three inspirational speeches about the amazing opportunities one can have while working for a Manufacturing company. We were joined by Riverland Community College who brought their Mobile Weld Training Trailer, and all the young women got to try their hand at Welding!
As an Oshkosh Corporation Company, McNeilus draws on 100 years of specialty vehicle experience to safely and efficiently move people and materials at work, around the globe, and around the clock. We listen closely, work hard and innovate boldly to ensure we keep raising the bar. The results are products that we’re proud to put our name on.
McNeilus is headquartered in the Rochester, MN area. We have an additional manufacturing facility in Riceville, IA and a nationwide network of branches. Rochester has been rated among top 10 places to live for 5 years running on Livability.com's list of Top 100 Best Places to Live. Thanks in part to world-class healthcare at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester hosts numerous arts and cultural events, a focus on family-friendly communities, and proximity to the Minneapolis/St Paul metro area. At McNeilus, we know there is a lot riding on our trucks. That’s why we look for sustainable practices to incorporate whenever we can. We’re continuously improving how we make and distribute products, implement practical engineering solutions, and employ energy conservation and recycling best practices. It’s about improving workplace conditions, reducing costs, increasing shareholder value and being active in our communities.
Our employees around the world work together to reduce our environmental footprint and strive to provide products and services that help customers reduce theirs. In doing so, we strengthen our company and make a positive contribution to a more sustainable world.
Our business success depends on focusing on our People, rallying around a shared Purpose, and creating value for our customers through our superior Performance.
Success starts with our People, which is why we strive to create a People First mindset in the way we do business. It’s not a goal to be achieved and forgotten or checkmark on a list. It’s a work environment where we look out for and care for one another. It’s a work experience that inspires us to be at our best — for ourselves, our fellow team members, and our customers. It’s knowing that when we build great relationships, we can build great trucks. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Oshkosh has been recognized by the Ethisphere Institute, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices, as one of the 2019 World’s Most Ethical Companies. Oshkosh Corporation has been recognized for four consecutive years and is one of only four honorees in the Automotive category.
In 2019, 128 honorees were recognized spanning 21 countries and 50 industries. The thirteenth class of honorees profoundly illustrate how companies continue to be the driving force for improving communities, building capable and empowered workforces and fostering corporate cultures focused on ethics and a strong sense of purpose.
“Thanks to the strong ethical commitment from our more than 15,000 team members around the world, we are proud to have earned the title of one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies for the fourth consecutive year,” said Wilson R. Jones, Oshkosh Corporation president and chief executive officer. “Being honored to this prestigious list once again underscores our unwavering focus on doing the right thing in everything that we do.”
“Today, employees, investors and stakeholders are putting their greatest trust in companies to take leadership on societal issues. Companies that take the long view with a purpose-based strategy are proven to not only outperform but last,” said Ethisphere’s Chief Executive Officer, Timothy Erblich. “I congratulate everyone at Oshkosh Corporation for earning this recognition.”
Oshkosh Corporation has been recognized as one of FORTUNE’s World’s Most Admired Companies. Oshkosh Corporation is one of only 330 companies to achieve this honor, as ranked by industry peers, highlighting some of the most respected and successful companies from around the world.

“We’re humbled to achieve this recognition for the second consecutive year,” said Wilson R.
