McRory Pediatric Services – Why Work For Us?

"McRory Pediatric Services, Inc. was established in 1998 out of a passion for working with children, supporting families and creating a positive work environment that placed a heavy emphasis on employees feeling valued and supported. What started out initially as a speech clinic with 3 employees has evolved over the years to be a full service agency that provides families a myriad of services to meet the needs of their child. It was out of hearing families speak of their struggles about having to take their child to several locations, resulting in several hours a week being spent in a car, and seeing first hand the challenges in attempting to collaborate with outside providers that we realized we needed to create a multidisciplinary clinic.

Today McRory Pediatric Services is proud to offer families unique and innovative therapy programs and services such as speech-language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, child development services, applied behavior analysis, counseling, support groups, social skills training groups, adaptive skills training, healthy relationships & sexuality training groups, parent training classes, intensive center-based early intervention programs and therapeutic preschool, in addition to offering a positive work environment that fosters employee growth for almost 300 employees.

Here is what some families have had to say about us:

We are so fortunate to have such special people genuinely care about our little boy. Thank you again for everything that you have done for little K.” Warm regards ~ The Porkorki Family

“We just wanted to say thank you for all of your support, dedication and hard work. You have given us priceless tool to help D. talk. I will always be extremely grateful to you and your wonderful staff.” Thanks again ~ Linnae & Paul

“Thank you so much for all of your hard work in getting C. to where he is today. You and your staff are the best!” ~ Love, The Carr Family

“We want to thank you for all the immeasurable kindness and generosity you have shown our family. While the knowledge you have given is critical, your caring is what makes it so effective.” With much respect and admiration ~ The Rubin Family

It is from these heartfelt “thank you notes” that remind us that we have stayed true to our original mission to provide excellent services to children and their families, and for that we are proud!"

I worked at McRory Pediatric Services full-time (More than 5 years)

I have had the pleasure to work in a variety of roles within this company. Here are some of the highlights:
    > The agency is a multi-disciplinary team of professionals including speech, behavior, OT, MFTs, PTs, etc. The collaboration opportunities across disciplines are wonderful and very helpful for the children and families they service.
    > The co-workers I've had are some of the best people I've ever worked with. The majority of people there are amazing, kind, and knowledgeable.
    > Big focus on promoting from within the company. The owner spends a lot of time and resources on therapists within the company who want to move up to set up many training and mentoring opportunities for them, unlike any company I've worked for prior.
    > Unique Services and Opportunities - Nikki McRory, the owner, is very open to new ideas and expanding services that many other agencies do not provide, like a sibling support group, healthy relationships class for teens on the spectrum, etc. Additionally, there are various clinic services (social skills, early intervention, etc.) as well as in-home/school services for ABA for a variety of location and different age exposure.
    > Continuous improvements in technology and benefits - Since I've started, there have been a number of upgrades and improvements with technology along with the benefits that are provided within the company.
    > Supportive staff and admin - There is quite a number of people within the company, including Nikki McRory, that are very helpful and supportive when needed with questions, consultation, morale, etc.
    > Ethical & Passionate - Even though the field can be stressful, most of the people there have a real passion for helping children and families. A lot of time is taken on training those who are being mentored and collecting their BCBA hours and a lot of care is taken on reports/data collection/etc. to ensure the services being provided are high quality.

    > Like any agency, there have been a few people that have been difficult to work with. Overall, the awesome people far outweigh the difficult ones though.
    > Sometimes the workload can be intense, but I've always been able to discuss that issue and have it adjusted when needed.

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at McRory Pediatric Services.

I applied on an internet site with a generic application and was contacted for an interview 2 days later. The interview lasted about an hour and 15 minutes. It was a "group interview" but there were only 2 of us in the room. My interviewers were very polite. They made me feel comfortable and really asked questions that were relevant to the position I was applying to. I was contacted after a couple days and was offered a position with the company.
