John L. Green Scholarship
The John L. Green Generation of Leadership Scholarship awards competitive scholarships to highly motivated African-American associates of MedStar Health and students enrolled at Morgan State University who aspire to leadership careers in healthcare.
The scholarship honors the late John L. Green, executive vice president of corporate services who served in executive leadership roles at Medlantic Healthcare Group and MedStar Health from 1983 - 2002, and on the Morgan State University Board of Regents in Baltimore. He served as chairman of the Morgan State University board from 1990 to 1995. The scholarship is reserved for exceptional individuals who share Mr. Green's traits of excellence, leadership and commitment to the vision, mission and values of MedStar Health. This targeted scholarship reflects Mr. Green's commitment to increasing African American representation in leadership positions in health care.
Established in 2003, the scholarship is funded entirely by a grant from the board of directors of MedStar Health to commemorate Mr. Green's contributions and his legacy of excellence.
For MedStar Health Associates
Each year, MedStar Health associates have the opportunity to be awarded one of five possible scholarships, each equaling up to $3,500. Recipients may use funds for tuition and/or fees for the current academic semester (in which the recipient is currently enrolled) or the upcoming academic semester. Scholarship award funds cannot be directed to certification and continuing education credits.

The IT department is small but very knowledgeable. I was only there a short time but I hated leaving. The crew an supervising staff was great.
You have to be comfortable working in a hospital.
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at MedStar Health.
I went through a staffing agency and they were the ones who got me an interview with the company via phone. They called me back the next day and asked if I could meet face to face. After that i was asked to start the following week.
