MedTouch focuses almost exclusively on Sitecore as its technical base. Our emphasis on this single CMS product affords us a unique position in the market. We're sought after for our depth, not just breadth, of knowledge.

MedTouch has been able to attract a wide range of senior talent because of our unique focus: we build re-usable toolsets on top of Sitecore.  This means no more typing the same project out for a different client -- we retain our good ideas and build on our toolset for the next project.

    Pros

    I've worked and grown my career substantially at MedTouch. What makes this company special is the meaning behind what we do for our clients and our leaders' commitment to making MedTouch a great place to work and be.

    MedTouch is driven by a constant desire to improve and grow. This means lots of opportunities for growth and advancement and a culture of honesty and feedback. There is a sincere desire to do the right thing by our clients and employees, every day.

    The work is meaningful, impactful, and constantly changing. There truly is never a dull day in any position here.

    The type of people who work here are passionate about healthcare and the work we do. It's a high-touch and supportive environment that puts culture and people first.

    Cons

    Because of the nature of our work and the industry we serve our margins are not as big as some other technology companies getting round after round of outside funding. This is a self-funded company (which is part of the magic). However, this sometimes leads to less investment of money and time into longer term initiatives that would help build community, advance training, etc.

    Don't get me wrong - there are events, great perks, and a wonderful sense of community already. There's just opportunity for more, especially as we continue to grow.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing, this place truly is special. However, don't be afraid to be generous. The gesture of investing in community and in your employees goes a long way and will help cultivate the type of culture I think this company is aiming to maintain and build.

    I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at MedTouch in February 2017.

    Interview

    HR contacts you via email for a phone screen. If there is a match, the next step is either a phone conversation with the hiring manager or an in-person interview; it's a multi-step process. While I did not get to the next step, I was still very impressed by the HR process. The HR recruiter was organized, efficient and professional. She contacted me when she said she would and provided prompt updates.

    I like MedTouch's service offerings in the first place, so I started off with a good initial impression of the company. If the HR recruiter is indicative of the culture of the company, it seemed like there's a nice group of folks at MedTouch. She was very pleasant and contributed to my overall positive impression of the company, despite not moving forward in the interview process.
