    I worked at Media Storm full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Loved my time at MS. I learned SO much from my amazing team. There's a lot of opportunity for growth in most departments and you get to learn a lot from everyone around you. The employees are all diversified in age so you can go out till 4A and crawl into work or you can go home at 6P on the dot and no one will bat an eye. They have great PTO, Happy Hour on Thursdays, Bagel Fridays and definitely try really hard to keep culture at a peak and everyone happy. It's an amazing place to start and embrace a new career and learn from the best.

    Cons

    i would say that the only con I have is that certain departments need more recognition to be able to sustain themselves and to grow. Don't get me wrong, i could have grown within the company into a new department, but the issue I had is that I wanted to stay within my team and grow from there. There's a LOT of growth and opportunity, but for me personally I wish I could have moved up within my amazing team. Hopefully in the future - they can see that the smaller departments need to promote/advance and grow with the company rather than beside it.

    Keep doing what you're doing and embracing new people, change and excitement in the industry :)

    Application

    I applied online. I interviewed at Media Storm in April 2017.

    Interview

    I applied online via LinkedIn and a hiring manager reached out a few days later.

    Initially I found it odd due to the fact I was asked to apply for other positions via an emailed link, despite being contacted in regards to the Programmatic role I had applied for.

    The phone interview was long and took about 45 minutes but was not too difficult. At the end of the interview she informed me that the position would pay only 35k non negotiable, causing a bit of a hang up on my part.

    We spoke a bit further and she knew that the salary was a bit low but we agreed to let me have the weekend to mull it over and decide if I would like to go further (phone interview was on Friday).

    After the weekend passes I send her a followup email letting her know I am interested in the role but was curious as to how fast the role progresses in regards to room for advancement.

    I never received an email from her after my 1 (initial thank you directly after our phone interview), 2 (the email on monday saying I am still interested) and a 3rd on Friday asking if she could answer the questions I had asked.

    All in all, this company is extremely unprofessional ghosting their candidates and the HR person has soured my outlook on the company as a whole. I'd advise against wasting your time here.
