Mission: We believe the most successful media campaigns resemble a spiral, constantly testing new ideas, measuring, reevaluating, and striving for an ongoing improvement in results. At Mediassociates, we never rest on yesterday’s achievements; we always want more.
I have been working at Mediassociates full-time (More than 3 years)
There are not enough good things to say about this little gem tucked away in Connecticut. A great group of dedicated employees who all share the same passion for this company they all work in a collaborative effort to build this company up. There have been several malcontents who have written negative reviews here, however, many of those were toxic malcontents who were “laid off” because they were dead weight. The employees passion for this company come from their dedication to doing great work and loyalty to a CEO who REALLY cares about his employees as people. A man who is dedicated & selfless in caring about his employees. The company has experienced some account loses but it is set up to bounce back with some great wins. Great culture, fun & caring. This company encourages “the greater good” & puts their money where their mouth is.
Some employees who have not worked at agency life at larger agencies owned by holding companies do not realize that sometimes work/life balance can be challenging in this industry. And have slammed Mediassociates. There are crunch periods at Mediassociates but nothing like bigger agencies. There are times where it is not strictly 830-530 here but those people will step out into the world of big agencies & see how great they have it
Advice to Management
Keep doing what your doing, however. Some managers need to acknowledge all departments hard work & learn what they do. Don’t let any of your valued employees get lost in the shuffle.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mediassociates (Sandy Hook, CT) in January 2018.
I connected with the recruiter who was handling the hiring for the Supervisor role. Had a phone screening with him to talk more about my background and if the role would be a good fit. Then had in-person interviews with several members of the team, as well as met with a few members of the executive team at the same time. Once I received the offer I also had a follow up call (at my request) to get some clarity on questions I didn't ask in person. This is something that really stood out to me as lot of the larger agencies wouldn't take the time to have a more casual conversation about the role, what's expected, growth opportunities, etc. This phone call made it clear that wanted to make sure I was the right person for the job, and also showed that they were willing to invest their own time to make sure I excelled in this position. That personal touch and the transparency throughout the entire process were two big reasons why I accepted.
