The Medidata Summer Internship is a 10-week long program that allows for students to gain exposure to the professional world, and our industry- Clinical Technology. Our program help’s student’s to build a strong foundation for achieving their career goals. By being a part of our global organization, they work alongside our talented and committed professionals. Our interns get the opportunity to grow their network, and enhance their skill set; leveraging what they've learned in school, while also being challenged with meaningful projects that drive impactful changes to our business. From day one, they receive formal and informal training to help them excel in their new role. This helps to create an inclusive and collaborative environment; encouraging them to bring to the table their unique & diverse perspectives that add value to the our organization.
I have been working at Medidata Solutions full-time (Less than a year)
Employees respect each other and teams are comprised of driven, knowledgeable and nice people. No one has a negative thing to say about each other. The company cares about its employees and the hard work we do. PTO is unlimited and encouraged. The work is challenging and rewarding. Hard work is recognized. There is plenty to learn.
Organization of information is not the most efficient. e.g. Release notes have to be searched individually for dates and data. No consistency in the organization of documentation in working folders or eBinders. Information is often difficult to find and frustrating. Few remote expenses are reimbursed.
Advice to Management
Improve Help Desk turnaround times on issues. Clients are annoyed with the current process where a ticket is submitted, the ticket is acknowledged, summarized, and assigned... but investigated much later. Too many email are sent as the ticket is processed, assigned and reassigned. Tickets are often bounced around from department to department prior to a resolution.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Medidata Solutions (New York, NY) in January 2018.
Phone interview with recruiter, then phone interview with hiring manager, after that a google hangout with some of the team members, and finally a technical screening/interview in person at their office. The entire process the team interviewing me were fantastic and never made this interview process stressful.
