I have been working at Meggitt full-time (Less than a year)
Great benefits - 401k matching, medical, etc, generous paid vacation with Christmas to New Years off, sick & vacation pay. They also do a lot to make you feel valued, like a gift certificate at Christmas for Amazon, and a health program where you earn points toward free stuff. Personally, I have an amazing boss and great co-workers.
Meggitt is transitioning from a holding company with many small business to One Meggitt. It's evident why they should do this but it's nice to see things are being united.
Advice to Management
I have been here 4 months, so it's hard for me to give advice or see any needed changes at this time.
I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Meggitt (San Diego, CA) in January 2018.
the job posting looked promising, and fit into my experience. phone interview with the hiring manager went well (30 minutes in length). This was followed by an invite to come to the office for a panel interview. I get there, and one of the first remarks was a negative comment about my suit (European suit suitable for an interview). I should have expected this from a provincial office managed by provincial talent. Questions were example driven (e.g. tell us about a time when...) and not difficult. I was told that this role would not challenge me enough. I was not planning on working here if an offer was presented due to what I saw during the panel interview
