I have been working at Melissa full-time

    Pros

Wide and ever present variety of work and levels of work available. Various technologies are in use, and you can contribute work in most forms of which you are capable. Academic review is a common experience because there is a lot of interest in performing work that produces the optimal product. Very low stress workplace.

    Cons

Company routinely hires requiring little or no experience, welcomes a wide variety of national backgrounds and spoken languages, and promotes from within. A lacking in efficiency and effective business communications is prevalent.

    Advice to Management

Choose your goals carefully, hire those who possess the skills to achieve those goals, aim your trajectory where it could be instead of to where you've limited yourself by your hiring standards.

    Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Melissa (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) in March 2016.

    Interview

Got a call for an on-site interview shortly after submitting my application. The interview was fairly casual. Interviewer was friendly and professional. The questions themselves were very straightforward and easy probably due to the nature of the position. Not much wiggle room for salary negotiation made me decide to decline the offer.
