I worked at Mercy Medical Center - Des Moines full-time
Good coworkers and supervisors.
Often times upper management is out of touch with the 'front line' employees. New protocols are implemented from the top of the chain without consulting with employees that have to carry out the tasks. Pay is lower than competitors and turnover can be high at times.
Advice to Management
Consult with lower level employees before implementing new protocols, as they are often unrealistic and more of a hinderance to actually carry out.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Mercy Medical Center - Des Moines (Des Moines, IA) in September 2017.
First interview I met with the department head, second interview I met with a panel of 4 other managers. They took turns asking questions that the department head asked during the first round of interviews. We then had a brief discussion of my current role in the organization.
