There have been some incredible changes, but through all of them ...
I worked at Metal Sales Manufacturing full-time (More than 5 years)
Financially strong and stable company; 50 years in business; well-regarding in their industry
Compensation is relatively low for many of the roles; not a particularly innovative company
Advice to Management
Accelerate productivity with capital investments in both the facilities and IT infrastructure
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Metal Sales Manufacturing (Louisville, KY) in May 2017.
I applied for a position in their corporate office and it did take about 3-4 weeks for me to hear from them. From that point, the process moved very quickly. I had an in-person interview with the hiring manager and another team member. They took me back right on time and the interview lasted almost 90 minutes, just as I was told. I heard back 2 days later with a request for one more in-person interview early in the following week. While that interview had to be rescheduled due to an unexpected change in their availability, they were very open about why and apologetic. I received an offer the same day I had the final interview and received the background/drug screen information the business day after I accepted. Even if I had not received a job offer, the process was smooth and communication was ideal.
