Mission: Create an environment and culture that support the development of an employee- and client-focused engineering, planning and consulting company. “Be the go-to company for clients and employees."
I have been working at Michael Baker International full-time (More than a year)
Very nice office environment in Santa Ana, professional and kind people to work with. Great location and building location amenities. Focused on getting work done, achieving engineering excellence and client satisfaction. MBI Benefits are comparable or slightly better compared to the large firms we compete with in this market.
Civil Engineering isn't sexy but it is very important. Compensation is the usual small yearly increase.
Advice to Management
Recognizing mid and lower level engineering staffs accomplishments and effort more would add to to morale and longevity. Preparing and prepping the next generation of engineering managers internally needs more focus.
I applied online. I interviewed at Michael Baker International in February 2017.
Talked with recruiter out of Virginia, nice guy asked a lot of basic questions. Wanted to know about past recruiting experience. Very much a get to know you type of phone call. Wanted to know direct recruiting experience in terms of years.
Several team members from Michael Baker's offices in the Philadelphia area recently volunteered to honor the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr., with a day of giving back and cleaning up a section of the Schuylkill River Trail.
Michael Baker is currently partnering with the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on a unique project to use 3-D mapping for the facility's electrical wiring system.
