I worked at Mid-America Festivals as a contractor

Chance to use skills in an interesting environment. It helps new performers get a foot in the door. Unfortunately some get treated so poorly they give up on the industry all together.

Management truly only cares about money and not the welfare or safety of their staff or the enjoyment of the people actually paying to be there. New performers are routinely bullied into thinking that $10 a day is a good contract.

    Advice to Management

Happy employees will bring happy patrons. Unhappy patrons will never return and will tell their friends about their bad experiences.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Mid-America Festivals (Shakopee, MN) in July 2012.

Applied online. Was contacted about a month later via phone to set up a one on one interview for the following week. Was interviewed by the HR person and a former intern. Was never contacted with a job offer or a follow up to inform me that the position had gone to someone else.
