Very good company to work for. Good benefits and salary is ok

    Difficult Interview

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Miele USA (Vienna, VA) in February 2015.

I had a panel interview with the Store Manager and the Regional Sales Director at a new Miele showroom in Vienna, Virginia (Tysons Corner). They made me a hot drink, and let me find a quiet place to fill out the hand-written application. They went out of their way to stay open after closing hours to accommodate my retail schedule (?!). Basically, they made me feel like a million bucks: confident and happy. They asked the standard questions, but the good rapport sparked a solid 30 minutes of conversation. I left in great spirits. I was left in the dark for almost a month. The recruiter did not return either of my contacts. After two weeks, I made a tentative call to the store manager. She was excellent, and assured me the recruiter would call back inside of a day. Two more weeks passed before I finally received the dreaded, polite rejection email.
