    Application

The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Miles Partnership (Denver, CO) in October 2019.

    Interview

The hiring process was very typical - at first. I chatted with HR about the position in a phone interview and then my info was passed along to the department. My interaction with the HR recruiter was great. However, the in-person interview was very unprofessional. It felt like I was being interviewed to be part of a clique rather than to do a job. There was a lot of back and forth, personal conversation between the two interviewers and one was totally unprepared. I’m not sure if this was meant to make the interview feel laid back, but it certainly rubbed me the wrong way and demonstrated first-hand the cliquey culture in that department. This was described by the recruiter and online as an entry-level position, but no questions were asked about how any of my experience could translate, etc. I was not surprised that I wasn’t offered a position, but I would have declined one if they had. Not the company for me if that’s how interviews are conducted.
