I have been working at Millicom International full-time (More than a year)
Most colleagues are very knowledgeable about the telecom industry and bring a good deal of passion to the table. Great opportunity to work with a leading provider of mobile and TV / Internet services in Latin America. Focused on innovation and ensuring quality service for the customers.
Things can sometimes take a bit extra time to get aligned with the operations in each country, from a budget, resource and prioritization perspective.
Advice to Management
Keep pushing, and supporting the growth of your employees. Their will be tough times ahead with increased competition and price wars, but we need to keep the culture strong. We need to continue working more as a region.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4+ months. I interviewed at Millicom International.
Well, it was not really in line the US process... they asked questions that are illegal to ask, like age, marital status, kids, etc. Although they are improving this, it was not the best experience. They have many people and different level positions interview you, which is good and bad.
