    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Ministry of Health and Long Term Care (Toronto, ON (Canada)) in July 2017.

    Interview

I was asked to prepare a presentation on Priority Populations and how to define them. The task entails a lot of research (if you are external) and showing that you know relevant documents, literature and the policy process. You also want to get there at least 15 min earlier because you have an opportunity to review the questions. The questions were primarily process and competency oriented. You want to give examples of the following : 1) Policy development 2) Consultations 3)Program roll outs 4) stakeholder management.

I also had to complete a 1hr test. I was given a report (super long) and asked to write a briefing note for the Minister with policy recommendations. Make sure you know how to write a briefing in about 30 minutes because skimming through the report takes as much.
