I worked at Minneapolis Schools full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great students, excellent teaching staff

    Cons

Tools put in place to help teachers are used to berate and intimidate probationary teachers. I have seen many excellent caring teachers let go to prevent tenure.
    Terrible insurance benefits.

    Advice to Management

Treat staff well and the benefits would be the best district in the state.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Minneapolis Schools (Minneapolis, MN) in April 2017.

    Interview

Applied online and didn't hear anything for a few weeks. I was then contacted via phone to schedule interview, and then sent an email confirmation with location and time and what to bring. Upon arriving I was greeted, and had to wait a few minutes. Went directly to a back room and had a one on one interview. We introduced ourselves and shared some brief details about each other and then proceeded onto the interview which pertained of basic interview questions. She explained the position very well and what was expected, explained benefits and perks, and overall was a good interview process. Did not get an offer right away, as everything goes through HR and takes some time.
