I worked at Missouri State University full-time (More than 3 years)
Although the pay is on the lower end for staff, the benefits are top notch. Medical and dental insurance, retirement, plenty of time off, and free tuition (to an extent). Overall, these factors make it a great place to work.
The only downside is that the pay isn't all that great for regular staff, but there's more than enough benefits to make up for that.
Advice to Management
Actually, I thought management was great. They were very fair, and they seemed to care for their employees.
I applied online. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Missouri State University (Springfield, MO) in July 2016.
Started with a phone interview before invited to campus for an in-person interview. Interview included a written test of customer service questions and sql. Interview was conducted by four-person team from the department.
