Nice new facility with easy access to major toll ways (DNT and George Bush), free sodas (if you're into that), great amenities that come along with the business area (food trucks, auto services, etc...), pretty relaxed atmosphere, relaxed dress code, friendly colleagues, better than average PTO, matching 401k, average - slightly better than average salary, and for the most part the work life balance is great. I did however see a few instances where it could be tough (depending on the project/client). Culture was pretty non-existent when I started, however this had been noted and a conscious effort had been made and noticed up until the point I left the company. I will say that that aspect had been notably improved upon.
My cons aren't particularly relative to a typical Misys experience as I came in under a bad manager and was made a bunch of unfulfilled promises. That manager is no longer there and threw me under the proverbial bus on his way out. There were also some structural changes in CS underway when I left that could potentially be for the better of that department.
Advice to Management
Look into better insurance options, enforce contracts on 3rd party relationships so that they do not take advantage, and better conflict resolution between management/employees IF it were to arise (not that it's common, but my experience could have been handled much better).
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Misys (New York, NY).
Their internal recruiter contacted me via LinkedIn. Got invitednto a single day blitz with three different people. It lasted about 2 hours. After the interview day, I waited about 2 weeks before they made a decision to hire.
